Diane is originally from Columbus, Ohio where she attended beauty school and studied the razor cut. She mastered her skill with an additional 15 years of advanced training. Diane takes pride in her technique due to the artistry and effects. "It is like sculpting" says Diane, "it has a softer edge and look and allows me to work with the way the hair wants to grow". As a salon owner in Sarasota for 17 years, it was Diane's desire to be an independent salon so she could work with the best of the best. "It feels good to watch real professionals at work," says Diane, "It is like being in a salon full of platform artists!"

Perhaps this same passion in her career is the reason why Diane chose Dr. Charles Crane. "I was turning 50", says Diane, "And I made the commitment to get healthy." A journey to health Diane describes as definitely worth it and that it has completely changed her life for the better. Diane says that her clients comment on how natural her teeth look. She even said while on a European cruise, an Orthodontist in her tour commented on her beautiful smile and how natural it looked. "It's the way my teeth really should have been," Diane exclaims, "I have more confidence in everything I do!"

What made you choose Dr. Crane for your Cosmetic and Restorative Dentistry?
I was recommended to Dr. Crane from Monee – my skin care specialist in my salon on Main Street. She invited Dr. Crane and his staff to our Open House. I immediately felt confident that Dr. Crane was the dentist who could help me with all my issues and concerns of my teeth.

How did you feel about your smile before your dentistry and what were your previous dental experiences like?
Before my dentistry I did not feel good about my smile because of the color and the shape of my teeth. I had bad experiences in the past and had a real fear of going to the dentist. I always wished I had pretty teeth.

How did our office make you feel when you first came to visit?
When I came to your office I felt welcome. I felt your sincere understanding of my fears and immediately felt at ease.

How was your experience in the dental chair?
My experience in the dental chair was great! You gave me a warm neck pillow, earphones with my favorite music. I was very comfortable. Dr. Crane was very gentle and calming to me.

What was your reaction when you first saw your new smile?
When I first saw my new smile I loved it! I couldn't believe how natural I looked. I have a beautiful smile that looks like it belongs to me. Dr. Crane designed my smile perfectly.

How do friends and family, or even strangers react to your new smile?
My family and friends that knew me before are amazed how good I look. They recognize how much better I feel about myself and how much more I smile. Strangers tell me all the time now how pretty my teeth and smile are.

If you were to recommend to a friend that they have their smiled evaluated, what would you say?
I would tell my friends my story and tell them how healthy and polished I feel. I would explain how Dr. Crane first addressed the health issue and then the cosmetic. He really cares about the long term health, not just the cosmetic.
